ITIDA Announces 81 Companies Selected for Go to GCC Program

ITIDA announced the selection of 81 companies in the Go to GCC program, in an orientation workshop attended by the selected companies, ITIDA and IDC executives, on Tuesday the 3rd of November, 2009.

Go To GCC aims at supporting Egyptian IT firms penetrate the GCC market through providing a platform for partnerships with leading system integrators and channel partners in the GCC region. The program provides the Local Companies with various forms of support including, networking events, marketing intelligence and continuous interaction throughout the entire stages of the program.

The selection was based on a criteria set to meet the program objectives, Egyptian companies were selected based on their ownership structure, number of full time employees as well as their ability to export reflected in their export revenues.

The selected companies are expected to begin the deep dive profiling stage by mid-November for a period of 6 weeks. During this stage IDC will deep dive into the capabilities of the Egyptian companies generating detailed profiles and further more segmenting Egyptian companies into clusters based on skill sets & resources, competencies and industry sectors.
 
After analyzing the local companies’ capabilities, IDC will begin the second phase of the analysis to assess the demands of the System integrators and channel partners in the GCC region.
 
The analysis will be followed by the matchmaking, the GTM events in KSA and UAE, and finally the follow up and ongoing support. Please click here to read more about the program stages.
